On Sunday, October 23, SSC will hold its Seventh Annual Fall Show, starting at 9:00 am at the Harless Arena in Chino Valley.
The judge is Shannon Gillette of Skull Valley, AZ. Show Manager will be Rhonda Kloster, assisted by Ray and Kathleen Cochran, Mike and Vicki LaBelle, and Gloria Ernst. See additional information and entry forms at the end of this issue. The same information will also be mailed to you as well. There are a few changes. There is an entry fee increase of $5.00 per horse, only if you do not pre-enter the show. We are trying to encourage early entries as it makes things easier for everyone on show day. If you pre-enter by the deadline there is no increase; entries are still $25.00 per horse, unlimited showing. If you want to wait to enter until the day of the show, the price is $30.00 per horse, unlimited showing. Note: If you pre-enter a horse and later have to withdraw it, there is no risk to you. Your entry fee will be returned with no questions asked.
Another change is a Sweepstakes Halter Class and a Sweepstakes Driving Class. It will cost $15.00 to enter each of these classes and they can be entered the day of the show. All the purse monies will be divided between the first two places in each class. Check your show premium for more information. Lunches will be available again for $5.00 per person, but the vendor has been changed to The Bonn-Fire, arguably Chino Valley's best restaurant. They also cater the Equistar Shows, so they are well versed in what they do. Volunteers of a half-day or longer will receive a free lunch ticket. We need the following volunteers:
Ring Masters (2) for morning, afternoon or both
Ribbon Presenters (2) for morning, afternoon or both
Help to work in the office from 8:00 - 10:00 am or longer
Gate Persons and Set Up Persons to help with obstacles, jumps, canopies, etc.
